I was elected to Gosford City Council in 2004 and again in 2008. I have attended all but one ALGWA NSW conference since 2004, and acknowledge the important role the organisation plays in supporting and encouraging women in local government. At the 2009 conference I was elected to the Executive of ALGWA NSW. I believe we are all equal and all levels of government have to acknowledge that by decisions which show social justice and financial equity.
